Apropos of absolutely nothing, I would like to begin this birthdays post by volunteering the fact that if I had participated in last night's Top Chef challenge creating a dish inspired by a movie, I would have chosen Spice World. In fact, it's kind of a no-brainer, IMHO. Thank you for your time.

The very appropriately named actor-comedian Aries Spears of MAD TV is 33. Note that Aries represents the warrior archetype, so his last name is very appropriate too. (No relation to Britney, BTW.)

The eternally lovely Jennie Garth, a.k.a. Kelly Taylor, is 36. I can't decide if my favorite image of her is collapsing on the Peach Pit bathroom floor from diet pills, making out with Dylan to the tune of "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover," making out with Dylan in the pool, or maybe just those flowered spandex bike shorts and oversize blazers she wore in Season 1 (not together).
